POEM: Woman

precious

I was speechless when I read this. And, I got chills too. The Lord is good and a very wise God.

WOMAN.

When God created woman he was working late on the 6th day…

An angel came by and asked.” Why spend so much time on her?”

The lord answered. “Have you seen all the specifications I have to meet to shape her?”

She must function on all kinds of situations,
She must be able to embrace several kids at the same time,
Have a hug that can heal anything from a bruised knee to a broken heart,
She must do all this with only two hands,”
She cures herself when sick and can work 18 hours a day”.

THE ANGEL was impressed” Just two hands…..impossible!

And this is the standard model?”

The Angel came closer and touched the woman”
“But you have made her so soft, Lord”.
“She is soft”, said the Lord,
“But I have made her strong. You can’t imagine what she can endure and overcome”.

“Can she think?” The Angel asked…
The Lord answered. “Not only can she think, she can reason and negotiate”.

The Angel touched her cheeks….
“Lord, it seems this creation is leaking! You have put too many burdens on her”
“She is not leaking…it is a tear” The Lord corrected the Angel…

“What’s it for?” Asked the Angel…..
The Lord said. “Tears are her way of expressing her grief, her doubts, her love, her loneliness, her suffering and her pride.”…

This made a big impression on the Angel,
“Lord, you are a genius. You thought of everything.
A woman is indeed marvellous”.

Lord said.”Indeed she is.
She has strength that amazes a man.
She can handle trouble and carry heavy burdens.
She holds happiness, love and opinions.
She smiles when she feels like screaming.
She sings when she feels like crying, cries when happy and laughs when afraid.
She fights for what she believes in.

Her love is unconditional.
Her heart is broken when a next-of-kin or a friend dies but she finds strength to get on with life”

The Angel asked: So she is a perfect being?
The lord replied: No. She has just one drawback
“She often forgets what she is worth”.

Send it to all the women u respect ….👍

Turn Down the Sound

sunshine-wallpapers-3

Dear One,

Sometimes, you have to turn down the sounds to hear the voice of the Lord. Turn it way down. Not just noises, not just chatter – but sound.

Turn it down to where it is silent. Even the music–turn down the music.

To everything there is a season. A time to dance and a time to laugh (see Ecclesiastes 3:4) – a time to speak, and a time to keep silence (see Ecclesiastes 3:7). Amen, “to keep silence” means rightfully – to observe (to keep), to ALLOW (consent to) silence. Selah.

As men and women of God, we have to allow silence to have its pure course in our lives. Silence keeps our conscience’s pure and silence allows us to hear God’s voice more sweetly. Make room for His beautiful spirit by clearing your mind from unnecessary sounds, while you seek His guidance.

Today I turn down the sounds of my natural reality and in my busy work life, to hear from God.

I need a move of God. He has given me His comforting touch, as well as His comforting Word. Now, I just want to hear more of His Holy Spirit whisper ever-so gently in my ear.

But, to do that and to sweetly enjoy communing with His spirit – you must turn down the sound. I find that when I do this, I am able to be used more completely by Him. I am able to allow Him to lead me more clearly.

Prayer: Lord, keep us today and always in our holy and righteous walk with You. Help us to turn down the sound in order to commune with your gentle Holy Spirit. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Hope Anchors the Soul

hope-anchors-the-soul

An anchor is something that is dropped into the ocean to dock a boat or a ship; to keep it sturdy, in place and still.

When the wave of life’s problems and issues come crashing in, we have a hope which is found in Jesus, anchoring the very depths of our souls.

Hebrews 6:19 says, “Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;”

Sometimes our souls rage and run freely with emotions that are purely based upon hidden feelings, circumstances and situations, oftentimes caused by the ones the closest to us, including our spouses. Those emotions often contain undealt with and hidden desire, envy, hurt, and pain all of which are outwardly manifested in our behavior toward one another.

When we turn away from one another by doing or saying hurtful things and allowing ugly things to come out of our mouths, we shamelessly feel as though we have freed ourselves from a situation that has made us feel bound. But, not so. These emotions must be dealt with and tamed. Untamed emotions can cause our hearts to run sinfully wild and free.

In Jesus, our hearts CAN become comforted and steady; our souls can be still and tamed. When our souls are on one accord with our spouse and when we are tamed with hope during stressful situations, our strength is made full. Our hope becomes sure (anchored) and sustained.

Strive for that persistent hope that keeps you anchored in your walks with Jesus. In Jesus our hearts and our souls must be anchored in order to maintain stability in this life.

Old Hymnal: “If you soul is not anchored in Jesus, you will SURELY drift away.”

|| P R AY E R ||

Dear Jesus, restore us to one accord in our minds and in our marriages. Let Your glorious steadfast hope be an anchor for our souls. Lead and guide our emotions in our marriage, friendships, with our families, co-workers and simply in this life.

Let our SOULS be anchored in You, Jesus, with an unwavering hope. Calm the raging seas of our hearts and keep us in Your sweet, sweet presence. Abide in us Jesus and do a good work in our lives.

Keep us anchored in You so that we drift not away with the cares and lure of this life. In You, hope for tomorrow is found, and in Your mighty shelter are we calmed from our fears, doubts and unbelief. Blanket us with Your holy hope that anchors the soul.

He That Dwelleth

he-that-dwells

Sometimes it can be hard to see God in the mundane. Life can get downright monotonous at times. But, it is in those moments when we are truly able to see Jesus. In those moments we realize that His presence never left us, but is always there with us. It is in those quiet moments where we remember our calling, who we are, and why He placed us here on this earth.

Those quiet moments were meant for you and Jesus.

Sometimes we don’t have the resources to run to our prayer rooms, our prayer closets or in the bathroom to breathe in Jesus—sometimes we have to do it right there at our desks, in the grocery store while picking up dinner for the night, or yet while we are scrubbing those dishes in the kitchen.

Psalm 91:1 says “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.”

When you dwell in the Lord’s presence, you are dwelling with the Lord’s presence. You will find that He is always with you. You will find that He is with you, in the midst of it all. He is the One who keeps you calm when others expect you to be enraged. He’s the one who causes confusion to cease when you seek His face. He is the One who encompasses your very being. Abide, and Dwell in Jesus today. Find Him in your every day, and then in your every moment.

|| P R A Y E R ||

Dwell here, Jesus. Dwell here in our every moment, our every day. Let us abide under Your holy shadow, Your sweet shelter of covering. In Jesus Name, Amen.

You are Enough for Jesus; Jesus is Enough

Today, something so beautiful crossed my daily Instagram scroll. It was a post by Rachel Allene, with the following photo and caption:

Untitled

“You are enough. Regardless of external opinions or comments. Regardless of how much work you accomplish today. It doesn’t matter how many clients you have. Or many friends like your photo. Just you is enough! It’s so hard to remember this in a world inundated with social media and curated images, but I’m here to remind and support you. Tag three friends who need to hear this today. Hugs!”

Ephesians 4:2-3 nudges us with the following passage: “With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love; Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.”

Galatians 5:22-23 reminds us, “22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.”

People are fragile, and we need Jesus. We need Jesus to keep us on track, to validate us and to realize our worth in Him. The Internet boasts of things that we could never capably feel adequate enough to surmount to. “Curated” simply means that these things are professionally styled and arranged to achieve a certain look and reach certain audiences.

Instagram images are oftentimes gorgeous, seamless and “perfect” in every sense of the word. With the right filters, fonts, angles, lighting, dimensions. Can we ever truly live up to that? That stylized perfection? If we are not formally studying design, how can we? Exactly– we can’t. So why stress yourself out over it? Why drool over everything that you see? It only makes you want to have that, which can turn into coveting.

We are not to covet things and we are not to desire greatly to please our flesh by wanting the things of others. Everybody is facing something that we know nothing about. Perhaps they are struggling with this very thing of covetousness, want, jealousy. Perhaps they are looking outward instead of inward, out instead of up.

Let us be sovereign in how we treat one another and with constant meekness and gentleness. Some people struggle with this daily, myself included sometimes. But, when I reach those moments I come to my senses, put down the phone and realize that Jesus is enough. Jesus is enough for me.

Good, Good Father

MY-DESIGN_GOOD-GOOD-FATHER.jpg

On this cold and icy morning, I am reminded of God’s faithfulness and that He. Is. Good. He is good when we are not good to Him, He is good when we are in our selfish own ways, and He is good when we are not faithful. Lord, help us to realize your faithfulness to us and that we need You. There is a glorious song that rings in my heart daily – It’s called “Good, Good Father” by Casting Crowns. Chris Tomlin has a psalm for it too. I have recently discovered a new group whom I am fond of who sings this hymn and who just recently followed me on Twitter. “Housefires” is a group who promotes the true gospel and a spirit-filled life through song.

|| S O N G ||

Oh, I’ve heard a thousand stories of what they think You’re like but I’ve heard the tender whisper of love in the dead of night.

You tell me that You’re pleased and that I’m never alone.

You’re a Good, Good Father, It’s who You are, It’s who you are, It’s who You are and I’m loved by You.

It’s who I am, It’s who I am, It’s who I am.

I’ve seen many searching for answers far and wide.

But I know we’re all searching for answers only You provide.

‘Cause You know just what we need before we say a word.

You’re a Good, Good Father. It’s who You are, It’s who You are, It’s who You are and I’m loved by You. It’s who I am, It’s who I am, It’s who I am.

You are perfect in all of Your ways, You are perfect in all of Your ways, You are perfect in all of Your ways to us.

Oh it’s Love so undeniable I, I can hardly speak.

Peace so Unexplainable I, I can hardly think.

As You call me deeper still as You call me deeper still as You call me deeper still into love.

You’re a Good, Good Father It’s who You are, It’s who You are, It’s who you are and I’m loved by You It’s who I am, It’s who I am, It’s who I am You’re a Good, Good Father It’s who You are.

|| P R A Y E R ||

Today Lord, help us to give our worship to You. Let this song permeate our every being. Let this song be the anthem of our hearts – hearts filled with gratitude and thankfulness unto You.

May we meditate on Your precepts and seek Your will for our lives. Help us to know that You. Are. Good. And, that You are GOD.

In spite of it all. In spite of anything that we may be going through and in spite of any doubt that tries to creep in. Touch everyone reading this today, Jesus that their hearts may feel Your call.

Guide us in our finances, our families, our friendships and our marriages. Cover us in Your holy blood. Let us see Your salvation. Thank You for being a holy and Good, Good Father.

Friday Night Prayer

Good Morning,

journal-joel225-2

Hello Abba GOD. I’ve missed writing for this blog. Last weekend my husband and I went down to all-night prayer with the children to church. While walking and praying, I kept hearing God’s spirit say “healing,” “healing” and that “there was a burden that needs to be lifted.” He was saying that there was HEALING in that place, and healing in that place right now. I began praying for the people of God who needed healing and asked that the Lord touch them.

Two days later on Sunday morning, Daniel’s mother preached the Sunday morning message. The name of the message was called “Restoration.” The message came from the Book of Joel 2:25, which read: “And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” Hallelujah!! the LORD saw a need on Friday night, and brung the Word through His servant on Sunday evening!! Amen!! Hallelujah!!! Healing brings Restoration, glory to God!! Heal on today Lord, touch on today, God. Send Your rain, Your latter rain, Jesus. Hallelujah. Glory to God.

The Generous Will Prosper

prosper

Hello Friends,

Proverbs 11:25, New Living Translation says, “The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.”

All I can see flooding over me as I write this is a fresh rush of water covering me. A fresh wind, a fresh anointing. God says in John 13:35 that by their love for one another you will know that they are my disciples indeed (paraphrase).

A new thing is waiting for you and will come your way if you put your trust in Him. He said to “occupy” until He comes (Luke 19:13) – do something for somebody. Do you have a gift? Offer it up to others. Do you have a spirit of giving? Give. Do you get so happy when you see others happy (that’s me) – spread that love and volunteer. Only what you do for Christ will last, so let us make it count! He loves us today and He wants to see us prosper. Give of your time and put your trust in Him on today, saints!

Glorying in You

Hello Lord.

Sitting here. Thinking. Contemplating. Reflecting on what it was like- the days I spent with you before marriage, before kids, before knowing how busy this life would get.

Glorying in You.  I am so grateful.  SO grateful.  I just wanted to take a moment to sit down with You, my worship music on iTunes playing, and a coffee in my hand.  YOU are so wonderful.  I am holding back tears even in this moment, reflecting on Your goodness.  How could I not serve You?  How could I not give my life to You in Action, in Thought, and in Deed?  I give You my all.

The songs says:

“He is GOD of ALL- He is everything.”

“The faith it takes to PRAY and SEEK.  From the painted sky, to my plank-filled eye.  I’m giving my life to the only One who makes the moon reflect the sun.  Every starry night, that was His design.  I’m giving my life to the only Son, who Was, and is, and Yet to Come (Revelation 1:8). Let the praises ring, because HE is everything.”

“I’m giving it all to the only Son, who gave me HOPE when I had none.”

I LOVE YOU ABBA- YOU FIRST LOVED ME. YOU LOVE ME. YOU LOVE ME.

Your Beloved,

Whitney
